As our company has evolved over the years, our employees have grown right along with us. Paul Faia, National Account Sales Manager based at our Domino® Sugar Yonkers Refinery, has spent his entire 42-year-long career with us, serving in different roles.
“I’m very fortunate to work with the best people, and not only in Yonkers, but across the company,” said Paul. “People have always been the best part of it.”
With every interaction, Paul aims to deliver excellent customer service. Born and raised in Yonkers, Paul appreciates being able to relate to and connect with his customers.
Alan Henderson, Vice President of Industrial Sales, said it’s hard to sum up all the good things to say about Paul.
“He has been an asset to the team since day one,” said Alan. “His hard work, determination, professionalism and knowledge of the business is second to none. Paul is highly respected by his customers and peers, and we are very lucky to work with him.”
While the company and Paul’s career have grown, so has his family. Paul married his wife, Pat, the same year he began working at the Yonkers Refinery.
Paul said he is grateful to have been able to stay in Yonkers, and that his three children and six grandchildren live close by.
“My family is the most important thing to me and about me,” said Paul. “It has been the most well-grounded and constant part of my life.”
Looking to the future, Paul said he feels he is on the “back nine” of his career.
“I don’t know what the next few years will hold, but I’m grateful to have spent my career doing work that I was happy to do for great people,” said Paul. “In the future, I don’t know that we’ll see many people working in the same industry for decades, but I’m glad that I have.”
