Share: Facebook twitter Linkedin In the spirit of Easter, we teamed up with the charity Barnardo’s and the labor agency Adecco on an initiative to bring Easter eggs and holiday cheer to children in need. Employees at our Plaistow Plant, where we produce our Lyle’s® Golden Syrup, showed their generosity by donating more than 50 eggs, which were delivered to children in our East London community. Barnardo’s, a charity founded by Thomas John Barnardo in 1866, has been dedicated to caring for vulnerable children for more than 150 years, and its work continues to significantly improve the lives of countless children and families. “We are proud of our employees for their compassion and willingness to give back to the community, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in making this effort a success,” said Senior Administrative Assistant Sam Barker. At the Thames Refinery, where we produce our Tate & Lyle® Sugars, colleagues purchased themed Easter Baking Boxes with a £5 donation that went to our charity partner Community Food Enterprise (CFE) and baked over the Easter weekend submitting photos of their efforts and the fun had along the way. A total of £400, including company match funding, was raised for CFE. CFE, who are based at our Thames Refinery site, work to alleviate food poverty by supplying and distributing surplus food to frontline charities and community organizations in East London.
